Radegast Beskydy
Radegast Beskydy happen to be the most visited area of the region. Their name was established in 1931, at the occasion of the unveiling ceremony of a Radegast statue. The statue was authored by a native from Frenštát pod Radhoštěm, a sculptor Albín Polášek. He aimed to present the oldest tourist club called ‘Pohorská jednota Radhošť’ with the statue. Radegast Beskydy include the following towns and villages; Frenštát pod Radhoštěm, Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, Trojanovice, Kunčice pod Ondřejníkem, Bordovice, Lichnov, Tichá, Veřovice, Dolní Bečva, Prostřední Bečva, Horní Bečva. The most popular places you can visit within the area are the following; Pustevny (ski resort, Libušín & Maměnka), Radhošť (Chapel of St Cyril and Metoděj), Velký Javorník (observation tower), Horečky (Ski Jump Jiří Raška, Beskydy trails, Beskydy Guardian Chapel), Frenštát p. R. (Museum, historical square), Rožnov p. R. (National Open Air Museum).

Horečky
Horečky represent a historical compound where the ‘Pohorská jednota Radhošť’ club had financially contributed since 1884. Some of the great places to visit are the following; Ski Jump Jiří Raška, Beskydy Guardian Chapel, Chapel of St Mary of Lourdes, National Cultural Monument Nová Vlčina, Drying Room of Jurkovič, T.G.M. Monument, Mary’s natural spring, amphitheatre, Beskydy trails.

Velký Javorník Observation Tower
Velký Javorník mountain (917 m) has been a very popular tourist destination since 1935, which is also the year a cottage was built at the very top. The observation tower (25 m) was built in 2015 and remains freely accessible to this day.

Protected Landscape Area Beskydy
Rekovice restaurant, as well as the entire Beskydy belong to the biggest Protected Landscape Area in Czechia. In terms of the landscape’s spirit and diversity, this place represents an exceptionally precious natural habitat – and that even in the European perspective. It is, among others, considered a habitat with natural water accumulation and home for numerous bird species. The whole area is interlaced with local bio corridors, bio centres, and small-area reservations – chiefly the National Natural Reservation Radhošť, Kněhyně, and Noříčí. There are some protected animal and plant species too, including beasts of prey. Beskydy happen to be a home for the Eurasian lynx, Timber wolf, or Brown bear.

Beskydy Trails
Beskydy trails are located at the borderlands of Frenštát pod Radhoštěm and Trojanovice. You can find them below Velký Javorník peak, in close proximity to Ski Jump Jiří Raška.
The major circuit, which is nearly 3 km long, forms the base of the new cycling resort in Beskydy. The resort covers not only the aforementioned singletrail circuits, but also several MTB and cycleways in total length of 300 km.

Radegast Cycleways
That’s how the collection of seven cycleways of various lengths and levels is called. These interconnect some of the most popular places in Beskydy. Horečky happen to be the very centre of this cycling labyrinth. Its length is around 210 km in total.
The cycleways run the existing roads and trails, beginning at Rekovice and heading over to Horečky, Pustevny, numerous villages of Frenštát, Hukvaldy, Štramberk, and Kopřivnice. They are divided according to the level of difficulty, which makes them accessible for both sportsmen and families with children.

Tourist Trails
Mountain peaks in close proximity to our Rekovice appear to be the most attractive for tourists – Velký Javorník with the observation tower (917 m), Pustevny and the historical buildings by Jurkovič (1020 m), Radhošť and the chapel (1129 m), Čertův mlýn with remarkable history (1206 m), and Ondřejník with marvellous sceneries (964 m). These mountain peaks are connected to one another by numerous footpaths that go through meadows, fields, forests, valleys, or ridges. We’ve been pursuing tourism across Beskydy for more than 130 years. The aforementioned ‘Pohorská jednota Radhošť’ club comes from Beskydy as well.

Paragliding and hang-gliding
Due to highly favourable conditions, paragliding is a traditional sport in Beskydy. You may choose from the following peaks to take off; Velký Javorník (917 m), Ondřejník (964 m), Radhošť (1129 m), Velká Stolová (1046 m), Červený Kámen (690 m).
